MDS Orthodontics Fees
So you know that Ortho is one of the costliest branches in MDS and I will explain to you how much you have to pay and what is the differences.
In general, fees for MDS in orthodontics will range from Rs.5.5 lakhs to Rs.20 lakhs excluding your hostel, food, and material charges.
Orthodontic Fees in North India
If you are looking for colleges in the North, then you have to pay somewhere around Rs.5.85 lakhs to Rs.8 lakhs per annum as tuition fees.
They will also charge you a hostel fee ranging from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.5 lakhs per annum depending on the type of hostel you choose.
MDS Ortho Fees in South India
South India, means most of the students will be opting for colleges in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, as it is an open state and there are many dental colleges.
Let it be anywhere in South India, except Kerala, you will have to pay a fee of around Rs.12 lakhs to Rs.18 lakhs per year as tuition fees. The fees may vary depending on the demand and seat availability.
And you can expect a material charge of around Rs.1 lakh to Rs.1.5 lakhs per annum. Hostel fees can be around Rs.95,000 to Rs.1.75 lakhs depending on the type of room you choose.

Which colleges to choose? – North or South
There are colleges in Karnataka, whose fees are around Rs.15 lakhs per annum and their quality is less than a college offering Rs.5.85 lakhs per annum.
Yes, it is true!
It is due to the myth that education is good only in South India. It’s not like that!
There are many hidden gems in the North, which you have to find through proper guidance.
The best way to decide will be to decide on a budget in your mind for the complete course first and find colleges in that budget which is good. If you do not have any budget constraints go for colleges in the South. Because branded colleges that come in NIRF ranking are more in the south. 😛
