Sardar Patel Post Graduate Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences was established in the year 1996 and is one of the most reputed private dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The college is affiliated with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Lucknow, and is one of the Top Dental Colleges recognized by the Dental Council of India.
The Institute started under the leadership of the Honorable founder and chairman Late Dr. O.P. Chaudhary. It was a eulogy to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The college has a multispecialty hospital built within the campus and is named after the founder, Dr. O.P. Chaudhary Hospital and Research Centre. The course of MDS was started in the year 2004 with all 9 departments as specializations.
The faculty of the college is dedicated to fostering professional skills, moral values, and work ethic among budding dentists. They aim to build good personalities of the students so that they can serve a fruitful purpose towards the greater good of society and also towards the underprivileged population of the state and the country as a whole.

The hostel mess provides meals for 3 times a day. If at all the students do not prefer the taste of the hostel mess food then they can order according to their taste preferences in the cafeteria. There is a Cafe Coffee Day also which is located within the campus.
Several sports facilities are also provided. There are grounds for playing cricket, football, and volleyball. Girls and boys have separate common rooms. An indoor games facility is also provided to the students.
