IDEAS Dental College Gwalior Overview

Institute of Dental Education and Advance Studies also known as IDEAS Dental College, Gwalior is a private institution. It was established in the year of 2006 under the leadership of a highly qualified professional, Er. K. S. Kushwah. The college is managed by the Madhya Pradesh Lok Vikas Nyas Trust. The university with which it is affiliated is the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur. IDEAS is recognized by the Dental College of India. It is also one of the best Dental Colleges in India.

The institute’s outpatient department was founded in 2006, and since then, efforts have been made to update the facilities to provide better dental care. The Malanpur Industrial Area near the vicinity of the college has around 28 heavily populated regions hence IDEAS is mostly occupied with providing dental care to the residents.

Four years of academic coursework and one year of clinical training internship comprise the BDS program. Only after the internship is over is the full BDS degree granted. BDS qualifying requirements are as follows:

IDEAS is spread over a land area of more than 7 acres. The institute is located near the airport.

A huge library offered by IDEAS. It is fully digitized, computerized, and available on campus. This makes it easier to loan and return books. A good collection of journals, reference books, and textbooks covering nearly every aspect of dentistry education are available. A highly qualified senior librarian is the head of the library department.

The college has well-equipped pre-clinical laboratories where the students can train and practice to polish and refine their skills before they set their hands on patients.

IDEAS offers hostels, with separate accommodations for girls and boys. Combined, these hostels have enough space to accommodate more than 500 on-campus students. The majority of the hostels have open grounds and are hidden away in greenery. Every hostel is unique in its terms. Also, there is a sufficient amount of space for parking two-wheelers.

Married students can also find housing facilities on campus. Married students who wish to live with their families can choose from flats with single or double rooms. There are guest rooms also available for parents of students who are visiting.

The college has a research hospital and it offers healthcare services to all the students. A hospital dental van caters to all the emergency services.
