The BDS and MDS admission processes to Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi, are conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee of India. Online registration is the primary step of NEET counseling. To participate in the process, you must first fill out the application form on the MCCI official website. This step involves entering your details (name, address, Aadhar card no., NEET roll number, email ID, etc.). For NEET BDS, you must also enter your past academic details (10th marks, 12th marks, and PCB percentile). While NEET MDS applicants have to add past college records of BDS. Just be careful when you enter this information correctly. Go through the details twice before you proceed with the next step of registration fee payment.    

The MCCI applies a charge of Rs. 5000/- as the registration fee for NEET UG and MDS applications. This step concludes your online registration process; however, this fee is non-refundable.  

The security fee or deposit is a refundable amount charged by the MCCI in order to enable students to participate further in the process. The amount applicable is Rs. 2,000.00/- for both courses. This fee payment is compulsory for every student to be eligible for the fourth step, i.e., choice-filling.   

In the choice-filling round, BDS aspirants can choose their course and dental college options. MDS aspirants can enter their college choices and specialty options in this round. 

Choice-filling is preceded by the choice-locking round. The MCCI will open the choice-locking window when you can lock your added options of the course, dental college, and specialties. However, once locked, you cannot alter the choices. Hence, before you lock it, be assured about the choices you make!  

The MCCI will then announce the results after the completion of choice-filling and locking rounds. The results are available on their official website, and you can check your allotment status. If you have been allotted and want to go ahead with it, you have to go for verification of documents, which is the last and final round of the NEET counseling process.
