Starting from theatre-styled classrooms and technologically equipped  laboratories, to latest equipments, the college has it all. When I asked a faculty I croseed paths with, she said the complete focus it to encourage both teaching and research experience. Even undergraduate students were seen actively participating in various research projects conducted by the college.  

The library also caught my special attention! Apart from the huge number of books, it facilitates all the latest e-resources like Elsevier Clinical Key, Elsevier Clinical Flex, J-Gate, etc. 

Now the most common query I face from you guys is the hostel facility! The college hostel is very comforting and all kinds of facilities are available. I tried the mess lunch, and it tasted good. What I really liked was both the mess plus cafeteria, was really well maintained and hygienic.

Admission Process to Dr. DY Patil Dental College & Hospital 

The admission process to BDS and MDS at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital  is conducted by the MCCI. So, if you are interested in enrolling in either of these dental courses, you must participate in the specific NEET counseling.

The NEET counseling process involves many steps and is carried out in 4 to 5 rounds based on seat availability. However, almost all the steps are similar for both UG and PG counseling. Here, I have added the main outline of the NEET counseling process.

The initial process involves online registration, wherein you have to fill out the NEET application form. This step is crucial because it requires you to add your personal and academic details. Once you head towards form submission, a registration fee of Rs. 5000/- needs to be paid. You can also pay that later along with the security deposit fee. This security deposit is compulsory for everyone and is refundable after the counseling. You must pay an amount of Rs. 2,000,00/- as the security fee.

Just to bring to your notice, in certain circumstances students have ended up losing their money, due to silly mistakes. So, try to accquaint yourself with the rules and regulation of the counseling before active participation. At the same time, you cannot avoid this payment because, in order to be eligible for participation. Using a good and stable internet connection is highly recommended from our side! 

Then comes the option entry or choice-filling! BDS participants get to choose the dental colleges and MDS students get to choose both colleges and preferred specialties. Once you enter the choices, don’t forget to lock them!  Choice-locking window stays open for 2-4 days alongwith the option-entry round. 

Finally, after this, results will be on its way! You can expect them 3-4 days post choice-filling and locking. Allotted students will also receive their respective admission letters online!
