The Rifahul Muslimeen Educational Trust came into being in the year 1961. The purpose of the Trust was to promote education in the Minority Muslim Community in specific and also to the other underprivileged sections of people in Mysore. JSS Dental College is a private and deemed college. It was established in 1987. Initially, it was affiliated with Mysore University and later with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
