The Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Bhubaneswar offers a five-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree, MDS degree, Diploma in Mechanics and PhD degree.

The BDS programme is of a period of 5 years and includes an obligatory one-year rotatory internship across all departments in accordance with the Dental Council of India. The BDS programme, which has a capacity of 100 seats, seeks to provide comprehensive dental education and practical training to aspiring dentists.

The college also provides a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programme, which is a postgraduate course in dentistry. The MDS degree, recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI), encompasses various specialisations such as prosthodontics and crown and bridge, periodontology, conservative dentistry and endodontics, pedodontics and preventive dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, oral medicine and radiology, oral pathology and microbiology, and public health Dentistry. All day scholars are provided with bus services which they can simply avail by writing a letter to the Dean.
